With the rise of anonymous forums, more and more people are using “chan boards” to post their opinions and experiences without the worry of being identified. A chan board is a platform or website that allows users to post content anonymously, masking majority of the user’s identity unless they choose otherwise.
Chan boards provide users the ability to discuss and share thoughts, feelings and opinions with a wide variety of topics in an environment without judgement. This chance between members also strengthens communities through shared interests as conversations between users prunes out individuals who do not abide by guidelines or have controversial views on certain topics. It also encourages freedom of expression among all its members regardless if their opinions are popular or unpopular.
These anonymous forums may appear daunting at first but once you get used to it, they become convenient for expressing yourself. Depending on how niche the community is, chan boards can be useful for understanding different aspects of your topic from different corners of the world while still maintaining anonymity. Since chan boards allow posting anonymously, discussions may vary from political rallies, music criticism to food recipes where everyone can learn from one another whilst still staying hidden in the shadows.
The other appeal around chan boards is that you can form relationships without needing an alias – unlike in some social networks which require you to give away personal details about yourself including name, age etc whereas no such information is needed when signing up on a chan board. This makes it easier for those that want to solely focus on content rather than forming romantic relationships online. It attaches “connections” instead of friendships which many users find inviting amongst themselves considering simple interactions like commenting on each other’s posts and even language skills’ help etc can take place publicly too…all this without revealing who we are!
It’s important though that you don’t forget etiquette when posting on an anonymous forum – as these sites have relaxed rules compared to other public platforms –it’s up to us regulative-minded individuals should understand our own limits when making comments – it would be wise not to leave ill-willed comments even if they go unrecognised!
